Avče Pumped-Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant
The Avče Pumped-Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant is a multi-story structure designed to house machinery and crane operations for its hydroelectric processes. The building has a footprint of 58.5m x 29.8m and rises to a height of 26.5m, with a full basement embedded approximately 7m below ground. The reinforced concrete structure incorporates walls and frames to ensure stability and durability under high mechanical and seismic loads. The basement supports heavy equipment, including turbines and generators, with reinforced concrete slabs of varying thicknesses to accommodate different load requirements. Above, two levels are dedicated to crane operations, and the structure is capped with a modular roof system strengthened by an additional RC slab for rigidity. Seismic resistance is provided by RC walls and columns, which ensure vertical and horizontal stability. The foundation consists of an RC mat slab deepened with strip and point footings to distribute heavy loads. The entire design complies with modern seismic and structural standards, ensuring long-term reliability and functionality.
