Fire Station Pirniče
The Fire Station Pirniče consists of two sections: the main building and a covered parking area. The main building is a reinforced concrete (RC) structure with two levels (P+1) and a rectangular footprint of approximately 23m x 11.5m, while the parking area is a single-story timber and concrete frame construction. The main building features RC walls and slabs, with a flat RC roof providing horizontal stability. The parking area incorporates curved glulam beams spanning up to 19m, supported by RC columns. Timber purlins and planks form the roof structure, secured with precision-engineered connections to ensure stability and durability. Seismic resistance is achieved through detailed modeling, with ductility provided by reinforced RC walls and anchored columns. Both sections of the structure comply with fire safety regulations, with concrete elements designed to provide the required fire resistance through their dimensions and reinforcement, while timber components meet safety standards with appropriate sizing and detailing. This efficient and durable design integrates modern structural solutions to meet the operational needs of a fire station.
